The identities of the 177 individuals abducted during a violent raid in the Kurmin Wali community, located in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have been revealed. The victims were taken on a Sunday morning while attending services at the ECWA Church and Cherubim and Seraphim Churches 1 and 2.

The comprehensive list of those missing highlights the devastating impact on the community, with entire families reportedly taken from their homes and places of worship. This mass abduction has left Kurmin Wali traumatized and largely depleted of its able-bodied residents.

Notably, this attack occurred just one week after the community paid a N2.6 million ransom to secure the release of 20 other residents who had been previously kidnapped. Although government and security officials initially denied the incident, a police statement issued on Tuesday confirmed that the raid took place during active church services.
